During a short ceremony and wreath-laying, the municipality of Renkum commemorates the start of Operation Market Garden in the Airborne Region on September 17, 194.<\/p>\n
This Airborne ceremony is the first commemoration as part of all the memorial activities surrounding the Battle of Arnhem.<\/p>\n
The ‘Airborne Monument’ in Oosterbeek is a memorial column, crowned with a natural stone sculpture group of five men. A man representing freedom is surrounded by civilians and soldiers.<\/p>\n
